Allysa Powell

IMG_2166Born in Japan and raised in America, Allysa Powell had carried her Japanese-American from an early age. She studied at Augusta University as a Violin Music Performance major prior to transferring to Sophia University as a Liberal Arts major. From high school, she felt the initiative to contribute to her community, and, more importantly, her connections to her home country. On March 13, 2011, when Japan faced devastation from the Tohoku tsunami and earthquake, she raised $1000 at her local high school in South Carolina, USA, and donated it to the American Red Cross. With hopes to contribute more to the community, she joined the Dhillon-Marty Foundation as a summer intern during 2016 and has become a part-time employee at the organization.
